Skill set:

  • proven experience in government sales, preferably in security equipment, surveillance, electronics, or defense-related manufacturing sectors.
  • Sound knowledge of public procurement procedures (GeM, CPPP, DGS&D, Ministry-level tenders).
  • Demonstrated success in handling large government orders and multi-stakeholder engagement.
  • Understanding of product compliance and certification norms related to security equipment (e.g., CE, BIS, UL, etc.).

Profile:
  • Identify and drive business opportunities within Central & State Governments, defense organizations, paramilitary forces, PSUs, and law enforcement agencies.
  • Manage government procurement processes including GeM, eProcurement portals, and direct department engagements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including government officials, technical committees, SIB/IB/CAPFs procurement cells, and consultants.
  • Drive end-to-end bid management including RFQs, RFPs, tenders, technical evaluations, and pricing negotiations.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, compliance, and legal teams for customized solutioning and proposal development.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant government schemes, budgets, and security procurement plans.
  • Represent the company in industry events, defense expos, and public safety forums.

Monitor project execution milestones post-award to ensure client satisfaction and future repeat business.

Attributes:

  • Excellent understanding of security technology solutions (CCTV, alarms, access control, etc.)
  • Strong network within government security and procurement departments.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • High proficiency in MS Office, eTendering platforms, and CRM systems.
  • Willingness to travel across regions for business development.
